May Weekends- VILLAGE ART IN THE PARK
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Open -air art show since 1965
Our season begins the first weekend in May and continues through the middle of October. Come and enjoy the Bavarian Village and attend the outdoor exhibit. Whether you are interested in purchasing art, exhibiting, or a patron of the arts we welcome you to Leavenworth's Village Art in the Park.

Icicle Creek Music Center
An evening of music by Beethoven, Debussy, Poulenc, and Brahms. Artists include Icicle Creek Piano Trio and special guest, pianist Lisa Bergman who will join Resident Pianist, Oksana Ezhokina in a piano four-hand extravaganza.

May 9 - 11  -  Maifest  Celebrate spring in Bavaria. Enjoy entertainment all weekend. Experience the Grand March and procession including horses and carriages, wagons, Bernese Mountain dogs pulling their carts, and lots of people wearing Bavarian attire. Everyone loves watching the Maipole dance. Take a stroll through the shops and enjoy a wide variety of food choices. Learn More

May 9-11 Maifest VolksFest
A multi-event, three day festival of walks. Volkksport is a century old German tradition of a yearly sporting event, one of which is walking. Anyone who is able may participate. These are sanctioned events held in all 50 states as well as over 40 countries.

Our famous spaghetti feed with all you can eat featuring spaghetti, green salad, garlic bread and dessert.

The Leavenworth area
 attracts a wide variety of birds. See calliope hummingbirds, white-headed woodpeckers, harlequin ducks, osprey, western tanagers and MacGillivray's warblers. While birding is the heart of the weekend, activities will also include geology, wildflowers and the arts.
